In the "Colombia Journal" : a very interesting "Road Map for Peace in Colombia" is presented "in the hopes that its content might prove of some usefulness in helping the Colombian people formulate their own plan for attaining a just peace in their country".
According to its author, the ideas contained in this plan are the product of many years of research work in Colombia and engagement with Colombians from all walks of life.
The proposed plan is not intended to serve the specific interests of any particular party or group inside or outside of Colombia. Neither is its intent to impose a peace on the Colombian people that will only result in a continuation of the social and economic injustices that lie at the root of the conflict.
The plan is intended to propose a framework in which the Colombian people can determine their country’s future without being forced to adhere to the interests of narrowly-focused domestic and foreign forces.
The road map is intended to be a rough guide that will hopefully stimulate ideas and discussion on how to implement a plan for peace that ensures social justice for all Colombians.
