Paris (AP) President Jacques Chirac received on Wednesday evening the sister and the mother of Ingrid Betancourt, detained as a hostage in Colombia for more than two years, according to the Elysee Palace.

In December last, Astrid Betancourt and Yolanda Pulecio had thanked the President for having remembered Ingrid Betancourt at the time of the liberation of the two French hostages in Iraq, Christian Chesnot and Georges Malbrunot. AP
